I recently learned that there is going to be a re-appeal against the fox hunting ban in Britian, I'm strongly against killing for no real reason, fox hunting is not pest controll, it barely dents their numbers, they aren't killed for food and they are rarely used for their fur.

Traditional fox hunting is plain and simple a way to socialise over somethings suffering and death, they chase it until it can't move anymore where it is promptly set upon by the hounds and pulled to pieces, quite often alive. Hunting has long been a source of violence and death for all animals involved some pets and even sometimes protesters. Hunting costs farmers a lot in damaged property and often scares livestock, this doesn't solely end in a foxes death, any wildlife that comes into the path of the hounds WILL be attacked.
